Breakfast Rosette
This is awarded to hotels / Guest Houses that provide a truly excellent breakfast and dependably so.
Expect to find most of the following: really freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit or fruit compôte, homemade items such as muesli, jams, bread, rolls or muffins; free-range eggs, local bacon, sausages, haggis, black pudding, fresh fish, loose tea. We are very selective with this breakfast award and is re-reviewed annually.
Silver Plate
We recommend dining at this hotel / Guest House. Expect good food, a quality menu and fair wine list,
served in pleasing surroundings with reasonably dependable good service.

We are very pleased to recognise hotels / Guest Houses where the level of personal input and service from owners, management and staff is above the norm. This distinction is awarded on merit to extra-friendly establishments, ones where we feel especially confident guests will receive real hospitality.
