I am Christine and with my husband Steve we welcomed guests to our previous home (Douglas House in Castle Douglas) from 2001 to 2007. Back in 2001 it was a total life style change for us as we moved away from our jobs and our roots in Yorkshire to start afresh. Now (2009) we can safely say it was the best decision we ever made, we have always felt very welcome here and our guests have made us a success. Now in the lovely coastal town of Kirkcudbright in our new home we hope to welcome old and new guests to this unique location. As always it is our aim and hope that your stay will help you relax and unwind, for our part we will do our best to let the ambiance at Fludha and the sea air that surrounds it make you feel really welcome.

I am Steve and I rarely appear in front of the camera as it is usually me taking the pictures. To convert Fludha into a luxury guest house from what essentially was two flats was a huge remodelling/building project that took over a year to complete, I hope if you decide to come and stay with us you will think it was all worthwhile. Our aim has been to make Fludha not only a wonderfull home for ourselves but also a really top notch place to stay. We both take a great deal of pride from our guest book comments, we both enjoy meeting new people and making new friends we also value our old friends! When you leave we don't want you to think 'that was alright' we want you to come again with your friends because your stay was really memorable. By the way I can really recommend Christine's cooking, why not treat yourselves and stay for evening meal!
